Advanced Classes – Boys

The Men’s Artistic Gymnastic (MAG) Program at EYGC is robust, which it trains students for many levels of competitive gymnastics; Regional, Provincial and National.

To identify young athletes that have the right attributes to manage the physical and mental demands of the sport, as well as the commitment and drive to reach the top levels, EYGC has created a Talent Identification Program called “Boys Mini”.

Within this program, athletes will begin their education on the six events of boy’s gymnastics – Vault, High Bars, Parallel bars, Rings, Pommel horse and Floor and will be taught in the areas of flexibility, strength, coordination, focus, balance, agility, body awareness, alignment, and basic body positioning.

If chosen for these teams, please be aware this does not guarantee a spot on our competitive team, only the opportunity for us to work with your son to foster and develop the physical, technical, and emotional skills necessary for a competitive program.

This is a non-competitive program, by test or invitation only.  3 or 6 hrs per week.

For additional information please contact the Men’s Head Coach.

The boy’s performance classes are advanced recreational gymnastics where students will begin to link skills together to work toward compulsory routines and bonus skills in line with Gymnastics Ontario Boys Invitational pathway.

This is a non-competitive program, by test or invitation only.  3 or 6 hrs per week.

For additional information please contact the Men’s Head Coach.

The Boys’ Performance Teams are beginner level competitive gymnastic teams where students learn skills and compulsory routines with optional bonus skills in line with the Gymnastics Ontario Boys Invitational pathway.   The goal is to develop fundamental movement skills with emphasis on participation and having fun.  This program is great for new gymnasts exploring a competitive path, athletes with limited training hours, experienced athletes that are in a developmental or recovering phase, and/or athletes that are returning to the sport. Teams train 6 hrs per week (2 days).

This program is by test or invitation only.

For additional information please contact the Men’s Head Coach.
